“Creative Art Camp – 2010”
Children’s Programs (ages 6 to 14) (Pack a Snack Each Day!)
June 14 – 18 Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $100.00
“Imagination Works!”: Have fun with art adventures around the world.
Discove how people from other countries and America create art.
Enjoy painting, clay works and constructing with simple materials and recycled objects.
June 21 – 25 Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $100.00
“More Earth Art Fun”: Explore creative ways to be a friend to the Earth by keeping a
nature journal. Indoor and outdoor on-campus art experiences—making art out of nature using found objects. A campus scavenger hunt for hidden nature treasures will highlight the week.
June 28 – July 2 Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $100.00
“Famous Artists and You!”: An opportunity to explore the life and works of selected
famous artists. Discover works by Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dali, Edgar Degas, and Mary Cassatt. Enjoy creating a piece of your own art inspired by the artist of your choice.

“Green Fun with Fashion”: SESSION 1 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
This week will provide a variety of opportunities for making green fashion creations. Selected
Eco-friendly crafts may include: dresses, shirts, purses, bags, and jewelry. Renewed, and recycled processes will be encouraged. A showing of works will celebrate our green creations!
Week Two: July 12 through 16

“Flair for Fashion”: SESSION 2 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Classes include basic fashion history, fashion drawing, and limited hand-sewing opportunities. Let designers of the past and present inspire you. Illustrate your clothing ideas and experiment with constructing garments. Have fun designing a variety of fashion accessories. A fashion show will celebrate your creations!

“Pottery: The Way of Clay” $165.00

This 6-week class will provide for beginners or advanced students creative time to explore pinch, slab, coil and draping methods using different types of clay. Opportunity for imaginative and creative hand building. Presenter: Beth Carpenter
“Mandalas as Meditations”
